1、Mechanical clamping method
Using the surface grinder accessory flat nose middle pliers will utilize the magnetic table to hold thin workpieces in the small flat nose pliers. Due to the height of the flat nose pliers, there is little magnetic force on the jaws. Grind one flat surface of the thin workpiece with a progressively reduced feed rate, then remove it. At this time, put the grinding surface on the magnetic table, then grind the other side of the thin workpiece, repeat the grinding several times, and the flatness of the two planes meets the requirements.
2、Vacuum clamping method
Grinding thin workpieces with atmospheric pressure. The working principle is: a rubber sealing ring is installed on the fixture, the plate workpiece is placed on the rubber sealing ring, and a sealing cavity is formed between the workpiece and the fixture. Use a vacuum pump to suck the indoor air out of the exhaust hole, and the workpiece is clamped at this time. Due to the low clamping force, circular grinding can be used for grinding. After grinding the plane of one end of the thin plate workpiece, when grinding the other end face of the thin plate workpiece, the above method can be selected to obtain the same result.
3、Take Temporary Measures to Strengthen the Rigidity of Sheet Workpieces
Epoxy resin adhesive is used to bond the sheet workpiece to the plate in a free state. The plate is placed with the sheet on a magnetic chuck. After grinding the plane of one end of the thin plate, the thin plate workpiece is removed from the plate, and the plane is placed on the magnetic chuck to grind the other end of the thin plate workpiece. Because the epoxy is fluid before it hardens, it fills the gap between thin workpieces and flat plates. When the epoxy resin hardens, the workpiece and the sheet are bonded into a whole, and the rigidity of the workpiece is greatly enhanced. Under the attraction of the magnetic force, the thin workpiece will not be clamped and deformed, creating conditions for the grinding plane. Thick grease can also be used instead of epoxy resin to fill the gap between the thin workpiece and the magnetic chuck to enhance the rigidity of the workpiece, and can also receive outstanding results.
4、Clamping method of buffer elastic gasket
When grinding the above thin plate workpiece on the surface grinder, select the elastic clamping mechanism, so that the thin plate workpiece can be positioned and clamped within a certain period of time. A layer of 0.5mm thick rubber is placed between the workpiece and the magnetic table. When the workpiece is subjected to magnetic attraction, the rubber is compressed and the elastic deformation becomes smaller, so that the plane of the workpiece can be ground. Repeated grinding for many times to meet the requirements of machining accuracy.
