  In order to ensure that the workpiece to be processed has a high machining accuracy, the wire cutting process relies on the remaining part of the workpiece to conduct electricity to ensure normal electrical processing. However, when the remainder of the workpiece is cut, the cut part detaches from the parent body, the circuit is suspended, and processing cannot continue. The operator must artificially create the manufacturing environment and conditions to meet the conductivity requirements.   Since the WEDM presses the workpiece during cutting, copper plugs are used to ensure conductivity and fixation. The copper plug is too loose, which damages the appearance of the workpiece and destroys the geometric tolerance. Therefore, glue can be used to ensure the fixing of the cut part to the base material. When WEDM is used to machine small workpieces of high hardness, precision, and complexity, it is a useful method to fine-cut the remainder of the wire-cut workpiece as described above. The method is economical and simple, and is helpful to improve the quality of wire cutting finishing.
